Activity : Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu Practise, September 2010

Marco is very well versed in Bujinkan, able to not only teach about techniques and other physical aspects of this martial art, but also about a mental shift in the way people look at it.

I recently had the honor of obtaining my Shodan (1st dan, Black-Belt) degree under Marco’s supervision, a feat that no doubt would have been impossible had I started practising elsewhere in 2008! It is easy to find a martial arts trainer with good or even excellent fitness, speed or technique. But in the long run, Budo is not about knowing as many tricks as possible, it is about an attitude and a way of “knowing” your own body. Right from the start this was part of his practise and I really appreciate that.

Beside this rare approach at teaching budo, Marco is also an expert on Bujinkan and Ninjutsu history. Finally, the fact that he gives us the opportunity to practise four times a week (and sometimes even during the weekend!) for a very reasonable fee is commendable.
